Luis Z. Avila, PhD

Luis brings to Aveta Biomics more than 20 years of industrial experience spanning early startup, biotech, and multinational pharmaceutical companies. He has successfully guided product concepts through discovery, optimization, product development, and CMC for clinical evaluation or product launch, both internally and with external collaborators.

He obtained his PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from Stanford University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. He holds more than twenty issued U.S. patents and coauthored more than twenty scientific articles and book chapters.
